Well I'm now on Dreamhost and it's hella awesome.

And I've registered TheRolePlayers.com.

Funny story, about 3 months ago I got an e-mail asking if I wanted to buy TheRolePlayers.com because

"theroleplayers.com is a pretty darn good domain name and,
the truth is, the .COM is a far stronger version of the
name than then .NET is. "

And they wanted about $350.

Well I didn't buy it and I'm not surprised that no one else in the entire world did either. So now the domain expired and I picked it up for a considerably cheaper amount.

So!

MonkeyGoesMeow.com continues development and a fevered pace... that won't last long

JoinOurSnakeCult.org is on hold till MonkeyGoesMeow is running... but we got great plans for THAT site as well

Syphro.com will still exist mainly as my blog and probably as a hosting place for my warhammer and dnd group now that I can install forums on it (screw you facebook!)

Jecock.com is pretty much in it's final form and can exist only to find me awesome work

TheRolePlayers.net will now redirect you to TheRolePlayers.com until the .net registration expires... in about two years

TheRolePlayers.com will be awesome. But right now MonkeyGoesMeow has me excited so thats where my attention will lie. I haven't forgot your gaming radio! I just... I'm just really really lazy.

As a certain powerhouse team strives for the kind of perfection that would give Seven of Nine an orgasim that would make the Omega Molecule look tame I look back at the work I've done in the background.

Now I'll be the first to admit that it's not really that much. But Jecock.com is now done!

If you'd like a sneak peak at two Role Player interviews check out the Samples page. When I get back from England in about a week I'll have all the tools to release the show.

But I'm going to plan it out a little bit more this time. The initial launch failed because I tried too hard to do everything at once and just took it on faith that it would all come together. That didn't really happen. So when I get back I'll be using the interviews I have (the latest one is still almost 6 months old...) to make "pilot" podcasts. Each one of them an experiement for the final show. Once I've released those, probably two or three episodes, I'll know exactly how to set up the audio bars on the site, how to correctly update the RSS stream and how to edit the show properly.

That way when I do the next interview I'll be able to write and edit the show within a week.

The one real thing that has kept me from releasing the show right now has been an intro.
This show is going to be more then just a podcast for the gaming community, it's going to be my evidence to a radio station that I can do real work in their production departments. So it's gotta be pretty slick.

Oh and did I mention I'm going to England? I'll have pictures of drunk Irish relatives online in 9 days. Oh boy! I bet you can't wait!

RSS ftw!

This weekend I'm going to try my bestest to get an intro for the Role Players finished and finalized.
Last night I just set up the RSS feed for the podcast. It wasn't as hard as I anticipated.
Last night I also just interviewed Dale North and Mustin from the OneUps. Since Dale also does like a thousand other things in the gaming culture I hope to interview him again someday.

So the plan of getting this podcast out by the end of the month and getting it rolling is not out of the question!

Thanks for being patient all this time. I think you're the only one here right now. Hopefully that changes pretty soon.

Once the show is released I'll contact the internet gaming radio stations and offer the show freely.

Once I have that intro it'll be remarkably easy to design a show. Just follow the formula and it falls together nicely.

I also have about 3 more interviews being worked on at the moment. I'll keep them secret in the interest of secrecy.
